Tupelo Quarterly 5 Poetry Contest

Tupelo Quarterly

TQ5: October 15, 2014 Poetry Contest judged by Amaud Jamaul Johnson

Please come visit the site!

If no categories appear below, that means the reading period is closed.

We read for approximately 6 weeks with the launch of each issue, then close submissions so we can design the forthcoming TQ.

Please note: in order to make it possible to give your work the consideration it deserves, we will take up to 300 open submissions for each issue. Once we reach that volume, we will close the “Open Submissions” category in Submittable until the next round, so be sure to submit early.

General guidelines:

Please title your submission with the genre (poetry, prose, hybrid, visual art, etc.) preceding your name and/or the submission title. For example:POETRY  Your Name “This is the Title of My Poem”

Contest entries should not have identifying information on the uploaded document.

For text, please send .doc or .rtf formats. No PDFs, please.

For images, we prefer .jpg formats, at 150-300ppi and no larger than 8×10. If we need a larger version, we will ask upon acceptance.

Please include a short bio (50 words or less, 3rd person) in the cover letter form box.

Detailed guidelines for open submission opportunities are below. (If none appear, that means reading periods are currently closed: check back for the next issue.)

Thank you for your interest in Tupelo Quarterly!
